The Mac Chronicles
Firefox
Time to get down to the business of actually using OS X. Step one, Firefox. Yes, Safari is just wonderful and all, but once you’ve sipped from the cup’o’goodness that is Firefox, there’s no going back.
Firefox installed without issue. Installation of programs on the Mac is really something; you just drag the file to the Applications folder, and presto, it’s installed.
The key to Firefox is its extensibility. By itself, it’s a nice browser. With extensions, it’s the Überbrowser, from which all others run in fear.
Fortunately, my must-have list of extensions all worked perfectly under OS X. For those interested, these are:
Tab Mix Plus
Adblock Plus
Google Toolbar
Gmail Manager
Update Notifier
FaviconizeTab
Fasterfox
Final step was to export my Firefox bookmarks from the PC and import them on the Mac.
Glorious Firefox goodness.
